Community Service
Bonney-Watson has a legacy of philanthropic service to the communities we serve, that began decades ago and continues today. Our commitment to community service is inspired by our core values which emphasize giving back in meaningful ways to individuals, organizations, and the communities we serve.
Our community service efforts take many different forms, including supporting philanthropic efforts with our time and resources, providing professional funeral and cemetery services gratis to police and fire officials killed in the line of duty, discounting our professional fees for those who experience the death of a child, as well as providing facility tours and a speakers bureau for groups who would like educational information on estate-planning topics.
Our commitment to community service has led us to establish the Donald B. Welch Community Service Award, which is presented annually to an employee of Bonney-Watson or an individual in one of our communities that exemplifies Bonney-Watson’s legacy of community service.
Over the last several years, we have supported philanthropic efforts throughout the greater Seattle area, including the American Heart Association, the YMCA’s annual Partners in Youth Campaign, numerous Rotary Club service projects, the Highline Medical Center Cancer Center Capital Campaign, the Lutheran Community Services Community Center Capital Campaign, as well as many other local community groups, parishes, and charitable fund-raising activities. |
